The new building provides additional modern office and training facilities opposite Fold’s existing Headquarters, Fold House and is on Redburn Square, Holywood, along the main Belfast to Bangor dual carriage way. The building is also a local landmark on the Holywood bypass. This helps give Fold a new modern and progressive image.

The design addresses the challenges brought about by the proximity of the site adjacent to the listed building, and in a town with a strong conservation lobby.

The DOE Environment and Heritage Service Northern Ireland noted the building as a “successful example of contemporary design adjacent to a listed building.”
