Initially the Client brief was to provide new shop frontages to an existing row of shops however, Dempsey Architects undertook a feasibility study to establish the suitability of a new build mixed use scheme incorporating apartments for the site.

This led to the preparation of a scheme design comprising 6 new shop units to replace 4 existing with 6 new duplex apartments above.  However, the Client later decided only to proceed with the construction of the retail aspect of the project.
